Sitting down for a coffee with my grandma a week after I returned from Iceland in 2016 I was excited to show her photos of the marriage ceremonies I'd made there for two couples that had invited me to be their wedding celebrant in Iceland, a couple from Las Vegas, USA, and another couple from Brisbane, Australia.
She asked why they would get me, an Australian boy who lived on the Gold Coast to be their celebrant in Iceland.
I became offended, but also didn't have a great reply, so I told her everyone else was booked.
Have you got a good reply when people ask you why you were chosen?
Are you ready to tell people how different you are?
