Too many celebrants

Twice a year I sit in an important government meeting about marriage law and another attendee brings up the idea that there are, apparently, too many celebrants and something needs to be done.

The truth is that on New Year's Day, the U.S. population was nearly 336 million — up nearly 2 million (0.53%) from a year ago. The global population also continues to grow.

There isn't enough good celebrants to meet future demand.

There might be too many average celebrants though.
