As wedding celebrants we collect a mountain of data about our clients, some is strict stuff like names and dates of birth, but the most interesting data to a hacker is the social engineering stuff. Kids names, school and work history, where they grew up, who's in their bridal party.
I'm not a hacker, but if I was I would be targeting celebrants and officiants worldwide, for the data, and the ease of collection of that data, because most of us have no idea how to keep data safe and private.
How to do that is slightly out of the scope of a free email letter but a good place to start is privacytools.io to find tools to replace your usual tools but these apps and services have a focus on privacy.
For example, if you're reading this in a Google, Microsoft, or Yahoo email inbox you should seriously consider moving to Fastmail or Protonmail as an easy first step today.
