Annie Leibovitz

A friend refused to use his own name as the name of his wedding business because he was worried people wouldn't spell it properly so I asked him to spell Annie Leibovitz's name.

Sure it's cool to have a fancy cool name, but as I found when I started my celebrancy business 'Married by Josh' in 2009, it was that cool that it was easily copied, and not-at-all unique.

So I dropped Married by Josh and just go by my name now.

The easiest way to own your unique brand name is to just use your actual name.

But even when you do that, people will copy it. Just ask Lori Peoples, The Peoples Celebrant.

If you really don't love your name, at least have a cool stage name like Abel Makkonen Tesfaye.
